My first post to this list - so i apologize if it's formatted
incorrectly or not following a specific protocol typically used....end
of disclaimer :p
So here's the problem - we have Intuos2 tablets that we are using on
Fedora Core 3....following all instructions to the letter, they work -
until a reboot...
for some reason, and it's not all the time, upon a reboot, the event
for the tablet changes...
when first installed, and checked using wacdump, it was event2 for
example...so edited xorg.conf accordingly and all was well.
then a few reboots later ( this part is at random, sometimes after 1
reboot it changes, sometimes it's fine up until 10 reboots ), the
tablet no longer works, upon checking wacdump again, it is now event1 !
So had to edit xorg.conf yet again, and then afterwards all was well...
So i guess my question is two-fold: Does anyone have any idea why the
event ID for the tablet is changing seemingly randomly, following a
reboot or 2? and is there some way of locking down the event that the
tablet uses, so that it never changes?
I have gone through a few pages of the archives, and will keep digging
through them to see if i can find a similar problem, but having not
seen it yet, I thought i would just ask.
